Amrut Khatri, GIS Specialist
Amrut Khatri received his Masters degree
in Business Administration, with a concentration in
Management Information Systems, from the University
of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR). While pursuing this
degree, he worked as a graduate assistant for various
departments at the Institute for Economic Advancement
at UALR. He spent over one year working on GIS-based
project design and implementation for the GIS Applications
Laboratory. His role included designing and managing
GIS applications, with respect to determining the nature
and scope of problems, amount and type of data necessary,
data models needed, and the analysis required. Amrut
is currently employed by the Arkansas Health Department
as Lead Programmer Analyst, but will be housed in the
AGIO to serve as the theme lead in the development of
critical infrastructure and will be member of the road
centerlines team.
